introductions
Working with the new Mac has been a lot like when I first sat in front of a TRS-80 Model I … lots of things to see and do but no clue where to begin. I’ve slowly been introducing myself to it and have only found a couple things that irk me but I half-expect to find out that I’m either doing it wrong or there is a preference setting for it :) One thing I do like is the BSD back- end. It was a joy to open a terminal window and be greated with the familiar bash prompt - almost as good as finding python 2.3 pre-installed! Right now I’m listening to a Chemical Brothers CD that I ripped using iTunes last night while typing this entry using SubEthaEdit and I just accidently found out that I can turn off the keyboard backlight using the option+F8 key. Silly me, I kept pressing the Fn key. Anywho, back to my python coding (using XCode :)
